Pamela Hogenson Govier
Pamela Hogenson Govier is a partner in the firm. She attended the University
of Nebraska at Lincoln where she obtained her Bachelors Degree (magna cum laude) in 1975 and
her Juris Doctorate degree in 1979. The primary emphasis of her practice is family law and
it has been the primary focus of her practice for over 25 years.
She is a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She attended the AAML
Mediation Training Program and has served as a faculty member of the AAML Institute for
Training New Lawyers.
She has been selected for membership in the Nebraska State Bar Association Foundation.
In addition to her membership in the Nebraska and American Bar Association Family Law Sections,
she served for a number of years as the Chairman of the Nebraska State Bar Association Family
Law Section.
Mrs. Govier recognizes the importance of being able to try cases in a courtroom as well
as negotiate settlements out of court. She has successfully completed the Advanced Trial
Advocacy Program of the ABA Section of Family Law & Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute and
has trained at the Nebraska Center for Dispute Resolution and with the AAML in mediation.
She participates in collaborative law. She served on the Governor‘s Child Support Commission
and has lectured at continuing legal education programs on family law issues.
