Patricia C. Kelley
Patricia C. Kelley is a paralegal with the firm of Govier & Milone, L.L.P., where she works directly
with Pamela Hogenson Govier. Patricia has 29 years of legal experience, where her primary focus
has been litigation and family law. Patricia works closely with clients; manages cases; drafts
pleadings and documents; coordinates with opposing counsel and the courts; manages discovery;
and prepares for and assists at depositions, hearings, and trials.
Patricia is also a certified mediator, specializing in family law, high conflict and domestic
abuse cases. She has been a mediator with the Douglas County District Court since 1999,
and works with parents in divorce and paternity cases to develop Parenting Plans to resolve
custody, visitation and other parenting issues. Patricia also works with mediation training
programs to coach individuals during the training process to prepare for actual mediation
sessions.
In addition to her legal duties, Patricia is also responsible for many administration functions
including the interviewing and hiring of staff, management of staff, and office management.
She is a frequent speaker at educational seminars, paralegal schools, and colleges on the
subjects of legal assistants and mediation.
